New assessment platform provides clinicians with additional objective insights into attention, memory, function, and verbal reasoning as part of ADHD care
HONOLULU, HI, UNITED STATES, August 18, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Elevated Psychiatry, formerly Elevating Minds Psychiatry, is expanding its ADHD evaluation services with the introduction of Creyos, formerly known as Cambridge Brain Sciences, a scientifically developed cognitive assessment platform designed to provide clinicians with additional insights into how a person’s brain functions. The new offering supports the practice’s commitment to delivering comprehensive ADHD evaluations to adults throughout Honolulu and across Hawaiʻi.
Creyos is a brief, engaging cognitive assessment that patients complete at home on a laptop or tablet in approximately 30 minutes. Rather than relying solely on questionnaires and clinical interviews, the platform provides clinicians with objective information across several cognitive domains that are commonly relevant to ADHD, including attention, memory, executive function, and verbal reasoning.
“ADHD evaluations have always been about understanding the whole person, not just checking boxes,” said Daniel Mattox, PMHNP-BC, Owner, Founder and Nurse Practitioner at Elevated Psychiatry. “Creyos gives us another meaningful piece of information that we can consider alongside a patient’s history, symptoms, and clinical interview. It doesn’t replace our evaluation—it strengthens it.”
Bringing Research-Based Cognitive Assessment to ADHD Care in Honolulu
The cognitive tasks used within Creyos have been utilized in published cognitive research for decades. Elevated Psychiatry is incorporating the platform to provide patients in Honolulu with an additional tool that supports thoughtful clinical decision-making while keeping the assessment process convenient and accessible.
Unlike traditional testing environments, Creyos is completed remotely from the comfort of home, making it easier for busy professionals, college students, and adults balancing work and family responsibilities to participate.
The assessment evaluates four key cognitive domains frequently associated with ADHD:
• Attention
• Memory
• Executive Function
• Verbal Reasoning
Because the assessment is presented through short, game-like activities, many patients find the experience more engaging than traditional cognitive testing.
Supporting More Comprehensive ADHD Evaluations
While ADHD evaluations continue to rely primarily on comprehensive clinical interviews and patient history, Elevated Psychiatry believes Creyos offers valuable supplemental information that can enhance the overall evaluation process.
The platform may also serve as a useful baseline before treatment begins, allowing clinicians and patients to compare future results after medication management, behavioral strategies, or ADHD coaching have been introduced.
“Our goal is always to provide care that’s personalized and evidence-informed,” Mattox said. “Having baseline cognitive data can help us better understand where someone is starting and monitor changes over time as treatment progresses.”
Understanding What Creyos Can—and Cannot—Do
Elevated Psychiatry emphasizes that Creyos is not a diagnostic test for ADHD and should not be viewed as a replacement for a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation.
Instead, assessment results are interpreted by the clinician within the broader context of the patient’s medical history, symptoms, and overall clinical presentation.
The practice also notes that Creyos is not a neuropsychological evaluation and does not replace specialized testing when those services are clinically appropriate, including:
• Learning disability evaluations
• Forensic evaluations
• Dementia assessments
• Comprehensive neuropsychological testing
“When patients need a higher level of cognitive assessment, we’ll tell them,” Mattox explained. “Part of providing ethical care is helping people receive the right evaluation for their specific situation.”
Included in Comprehensive ADHD Evaluations
To improve access to objective cognitive assessment, Elevated Psychiatry now includes Creyos at no additional cost as part of its comprehensive ADHD evaluations.
Patients who would like to complete the assessment independently may also choose standalone testing.
Standalone Creyos Pricing
• Current Patients: $100
• New or Non-Patients: $200
The assessment is offered on a cash-pay basis. Because it differs from formal neuropsychological testing, it is generally not billed to insurance and is typically not reimbursable. See full plan and pricing details for more information.
Continuing to Expand Evidence-Based ADHD Care in Hawaiʻi
As ADHD awareness continues to grow, Elevated Psychiatry remains committed to adopting tools that improve the patient experience while supporting thoughtful, individualized care.
Through comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, telepsychiatry services, psychotherapy, and now Creyos cognitive testing, the practice continues its mission of helping neurodivergent individuals better understand how their minds work and develop treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.
Patients interested in learning more about Creyos Cognitive Testing can ask about the assessment during their next appointment or send a message through the Elevated Psychiatry patient portal.
