NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, August 17, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Roberts & Ryan Inc., America’s first Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Broker Dealer, is pleased to announce that Greg Williamson has joined the firm’s Advisory Board.
Mr. Williamson is a globally recognized C-suite executive, investment and risk manager and organizational strategist with 40 years of experience in the global energy and investment arenas. He is currently an advisor to eFinery Energy, a U.S-based company providing decarbonized electricity from natural gas and biocrude directly to users. Mr. Williamson assists with eFinery’s strategic direction, operations, governance, and funding of the company’s businesses, including governmental relations and business partnerships.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Williamson was the Chief Executive Officer of Axion Ventures/RAW Energy, a Vancouver-based company with business verticals in biomass, hydrogen, and polymer batteries. Mr. Williamson was responsible for the strategic direction, operations, governance, and funding of the company’s businesses, including governmental relations and business partnerships.
Previously, Mr. Williamson was Senior Venture Investment Director for the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), where he was responsible for establishing and operating the state’s early-stage entrepreneur investment program under funding from the State Small Business Credit Initiative of the American Recovery Plan Act.
Prior to the WEDC, Mr. Williamson was co-founder of and Head of Strategy for Pluribus Labs, a San Francisco based investment management company which employed novel applications of cutting-edge data science techniques and a unique exposure-driven investment approach to the markets to deliver diversifying, value-additive global equity performance. Pluribus Labs was acquired by Exos Financial in 2022. Prior to Pluribus Labs, Mr. Williamson was the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of The American Red Cross, where he oversaw $5.5 billion in Endowment, Liquidity, Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution plan assets. Mr. Williamson joined the Red Cross after 25 years as CIO and Director, Trust Investments for BP America Inc. ($18.0 billion in pension, savings and foundation/other assets in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Latin and South America). Mr. Williamson was a member of the BP America, BP Canada, and BP Mexico Investment Committees, and helped create and operate BP PLC’s oversight organization for its $55.0 billion in global investment assets.
Mr. Williamson held previous roles at Springfield Asset Management (President), Northern Continent (Vice President, Investment Banking), F.P. Quinn and Co. (Director, Risk Arbitrage), O’Connor and Associates (proprietary trading, strategic planning), and Peterson & Co. (consulting).
Mr. Williamson holds an MBA with honors from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, and a B.A. in Economics with honors from Northwestern University.
Mr. Williamson is a Board Member of 11.2 Ventures (venture builder studio) and RMC Globalsoft (advanced AI-based organizational and risk management solutions). He was previously a Board Member and Investment Committee Chairman of the Terra Foundation for American Art, and a member of the Economics Club of Chicago, the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, the World Economic Forum, and the Milken Institute’s Global Investment and Finance Committee. Mr. Williamson served on the Investor’s Committee of The President’s Working Group on Financial Markets under Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, and was also a member of the Risk Standards for Institutional Investors and Investment Managers committee. Mr. Williamson is co-chairman of the annual Kellogg/Wharton Alternative Investments Summit (since 2016), and is a regular CNBC contributor on markets and economics.
