Bionic Bloom Integrated Health accepts TRICARE insurance for eligible therapeutic services within individualized treatment plans, helping reduce the overall cost of care

TAMPA BAY, FL / ACCESS Newswire / August 28, 2026 / Bloom Integrated Health (BIH) today announced that it accepts TRICARE insurance for eligible covered mental health services provided within individualized treatment plans, including plans that may incorporate self-pay ketamine-based care for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

This approach provides eligible service members, veterans, military retirees and their families with a more affordable path to mental health care across Tampa Bay. While TRICARE does not cover the actual off-label ketamine for mental health conditions (which generally costs under $20), qualifying evaluations, therapeutic interventions and other separately provided professional services may be covered, depending on the beneficiary’s plan and individual circumstances.

“Our service members and veterans have made extraordinary sacrifices for our country, and they deserve access to thoughtful, compassionate mental health care,” said Dr. Angela Fisher, founder of BIH. “Bloom Integrated Health is helping lead the way by making individualized treatment, including plans that may incorporate ketamine-based care, more financially accessible to members of the military community.”

PTSD can affect veterans, active-duty service members and their families long after a traumatic experience has ended. Symptoms may include intrusive memories, sleep disturbances, heightened anxiety, emotional detachment and difficulty functioning in everyday life. Some patients continue to experience significant symptoms despite trying conventional treatments.

BIH develops an individualized care plan for every patient following a comprehensive clinical evaluation. When a qualified clinician determines that it is medically appropriate, a treatment plan may include ketamine-based care alongside therapeutic interventions and continuing mental health support.

Ketamine is not FDA-approved for treating PTSD or other psychiatric disorders. Its use for mental health conditions is off-label and requires an individualized clinical assessment. Treatment is not appropriate for everyone, and no particular result can be promised.

“Ketamine is not treated as a stand-alone answer,” said Dr. Fisher. “It may be incorporated into a broader treatment plan that supports the patient before, during and after the experience. Our focus is always on responsible care tailored to the individual.”

TRICARE insurance does not cover off-label ketamine, its administration or services directly related to the excluded treatment. However, certain separately provided mental health evaluations and therapeutic services may qualify for coverage when they are medically necessary, properly documented and otherwise satisfy TRICARE requirements.

Before treatment begins, BIH verifies each patient’s benefits and explains which eligible services may be submitted to TRICARE and which components are self-pay. Coverage depends on the beneficiary’s eligibility, plan, diagnosis, referral requirements, prior authorization, medical necessity and the specific services provided. Acceptance of TRICARE insurance does not guarantee coverage or payment.
