COLLEGE STATION, TX – August 31, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –

The Bryan-College Station company, founded in 2004 with two touchless bays behind a gas station, now runs seven locations across Brazos County under the same owner.

Drew’s Car Wash has been named Best Car Wash in The Eagle’s 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards, its sixth consecutive win in the reader-voted contest, whose results the Bryan-College Station newspaper published July 15. Club Car Wash and Wolf Creek Car Wash were named favorites in the category.

The company has also been voted Best of the Brazos Valley every year since 2016, a separate reader-voted contest run by Brazos Life, giving Drew’s unbroken runs in both of the area’s competing readers’ polls.

The award arrives as Drew’s enters its 22nd year in business, with all seven of its locations opened under the same owner.

Drew Congleton founded the company in 2004 with two touchless wash bays at his gas station on the corner of University Drive and Highway 6. A third bay followed in 2007. The company built its first express car wash tunnel on University Drive in January 2009 and has added a location roughly every two to three years since, reaching seven sites across Brazos County, all of them within about ten miles of Texas A&M University.

“This recognition belongs to the incredible crews who show up every day and take pride in serving our customers across all seven locations. We’re especially grateful for our site managers, Andrew Phillips, Marisol Garcia, Gunnar Coker, Karina Torres, Tabitha Sams, Jacob Bales, and Kesley Geurin, whose leadership, along with the hard work of every member of our team, makes this possible. Most of all, we want to thank our loyal customers throughout the Brazos Valley who took the time to vote for us and continue to support our crews year after year,” said Drew Congleton, owner of Drew’s Car Wash.

The expansion has followed the growth of the two cities. After University Drive came a Texas Avenue location in College Station in October 2012, built into a remodeled former car wash. Tower Point opened on the Highway 6 corridor in August 2018 as south College Station developed, followed by Texas Avenue in Bryan in August 2021, Wellborn Road in December 2022, Highway 21 in January 2024, and Boonville Road in Bryan in July 2025.

The most recent opening completed a footprint that now reaches every major corridor in both cities. A single membership works across all seven sites.

Each location operates an exterior express tunnel that moves a vehicle through in roughly three minutes. Free vacuums, microfiber towels, interior cleaner, air guns, mat beaters, and air fresheners are available to every customer after the wash rather than sold as add-ons. Members of the company’s Unlimited Wash Club can wash up to twice a day at any of the seven sites.

In 2017, early in the Best of the Brazos Valley run, the company reported washing more than 250,000 vehicles a year across the locations it operated at the time.

“What hasn’t changed since 2004 is our commitment to continually improving the wash experience for our customers. We’ve recently added nanobubble technology, continue to work closely with our chemical distributor to find ways to improve wash quality, and are upgrading our existing touchless wash bays with state-of-the-art technology this fall. As equipment and technology continue to evolve, our focus remains the same: giving our customers a better wash every time they visit,” Congleton said.

Drew’s employs high school and college students from Bryan and College Station across its seven locations, and trains every team member on customer service before they work a lot.

Locations are open Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The company’s University Drive and Tower Point sites operate touchless bays 24 hours a day. More information is available at drewscarwash.com.
